Type 1 MOT

Description

A dense, well-graded crushed aggregate containing particles from a specified maximum size down to fines. Type 1 is a recognised unbound mixture for sub-base construction under the Specification for Highway Works.

Typical Uses

Sub-bases beneath roads, car parks, driveways, paths, paving and hardstanding.

Specification & Important Note

The supplied material should meet the applicable SHW Clause 803 and project requirements. 'MOT Type 1' is common trade wording.
